How does Oikia partner with your
church or mission organization?
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations.....
and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you....
~Matthew 28:19-20

We enjoy sharing the vision God has placed in our hearts - to teach English for God - with local churches and mission agencies. Oikia is not only a learning center. It is also a training ground that can help local Christian establish children’s ministries.

The student profiles are based on real Oikia⁽ᵀᴹ⁾ students, but their names are changed for anonymity.
-
Grace is a smart third grader who desires to study English, but current home circumstances do not permit her to pursue her dream. Her mother is ill, and her father is working hard to make ends meet.
-
Annie has little confidence in English. She has a hard time remembering what is taught in the public school, and she often falls asleep studying for English exams. Her family is concerned that she will further lag behind her peers as time goes on.
-
Mark's parents own a small retail shop and often work until 10 p.m. each night. Without other adult supervision, Mark is turning to Internet games to fill his afterschool hours.
-
Jack is a curious and adventurous boy who does not like to be told what to do. He gets into conflicts with teachers at school. He needs help in English but needs a non-traditional approach to guide him.
All these students have different needs, but they have all been helped by Oikia⁽ᵀᴹ⁾.
More than just an English program, Oikia⁽ᵀᴹ⁾ takes students through an engaging exploration of the problem of sin, the need for salvation, and the grace that comes from life-transformations in Jesus Christ.
Oikia⁽ᵀᴹ⁾’s accessible program is a bridge that connects local churches with the students in their community.
