Faith Integrated English Language (FIEL) Curriculum

Faith-Based
By faith integration, we mean that our language program incorporates elements of the Christian faith to share the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Each of our classes is organized around a Biblical theme, where the virtues of heroes of faith are discovered through arts-integrated activities, story-telling, and home discussion.
Each unit consists of three classes and is anchored with a Bible verse. Students are encouraged to sound out, read, and discuss the meaning of the verse in small groups.

Holistic English Program
We sequentially develop students' listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities.
We provide students access to clearly spoken American English in class and through daily video recordings. We teach phonograms and spelling analysis with ample opportunities for practice in class, resulting in better spelling, pronunciation, and word recognition.
We introduce fluent oral reading and close reading techniques to boost students' comprehension. We teach grammar, sentence formation, and copy work exercises, paving the way to independent composition.
